Flex
Flex is the most widely adopted HR platform among Korean startups. It unifies attendance, payroll, leave, e-contracts, and employee records in one place, especially tuned for teams of 1–50.
The de facto standard for 5–50 person Korean startups. The UI is clean enough for a founder to set up solo, but once you enable payroll, you'll need tax-accountant-level legal knowledge. Start with attendance only and add modules as you grow.
Can Japanese entities use it?
Flex is built around Korean labor law and the Korean insurance system, so it's not suited for Japanese entity operations. Use local tools like SmartHR or Jobcan instead.
Does it automate the 4-major-insurer filing?
The payroll module auto-generates filing data. You export and hand the file to your tax accountant, who files online. It's not fully automated.
Is there a free plan or trial?
No free plan — paid subscription is required. Initial setup and onboarding are free, and demos are available before purchase.
Can I import existing employee data?
Yes, CSV import supports employee records, attendance history, and payroll data in bulk.
