"XXX-XX-XXXXX" (10 digits) - First 3: tax office - Middle 2: entity type (individual 01–79, corporate 80–99) - Last 5: sequence + validation
Issuance
- Sole proprietors: tax office visit or Hometax online - Corporations: auto-generated after registration - 3–7 days
Usage
- Tax invoice issuance/receipt - Cash receipts - Business-to-business contracts - Banking, PG signup - Public pages (Legal, mail-order disclosure)
Practical tips
- You can verify other businesses' numbers via Hometax - Numbers can't be changed (you re-register after closing to get a new one) - Crewtool's Legal page must display it
